Default True duals

Anyone in here have true duals on their Dakota? My brother-in-law just did it on his 02 Tundra with the 4.7 and it sounds really good (headers, hi-flow cats, super 44s). Makes me want to pretty bad. I want to start figuring out what I'm going to need so I was wondering if anyone had done it in here?

I was also looking into true duals for my dakota, it shouldn't be too hard, its just a matter of where to run the pipes.

I'm thinking Spintech cats and super 44s. Not sure on headers yet.

As long as your truck has two cats on it it wouldn't be difficult, both pipes will need run down the passenger side til you get past the fuel tank. I've wanted to do this but my truck only has one cat and I'm not all about having a CEL on all the time

well from what i know all 4.7 L have dual cats so thats not a problem.
As for u Hanleysh i am pretty sure if u ran one cat with o2 sensors and one cat with out it would not throw out a code just got to run 2 identical cats probly high flow cats one with the o2 sensor ports and one with out.

Yes, I've contemplated that, but I'm very satisfied with the sound I have with my exhaust now....maybe when it rots off. Right now I have the factory cat then a y pipe to duals at 45's behind the rear tires, no mufflers

Nah, although the stock ones aren't bad, they can be better. If I'm doing the whole exhaust, I might as well do it all. The stock ones are prone to cracking as well. With almost 150k on them, I might as well replace them. They will sound better, flow better, and I won't have to worry about one cracking 2 months after I just replaced the rest of the exhaust.
