Power Steering Pulley Problem
I have a 2004 Dodge Dakota 3.7L V6.
I recently had the power steering pump replaced. I was driving and I heard the serpentine belt whining. Opened the hood and the belt was not on the PS pulley and the pulley was separating from the pump.
I got the belt back on the pulley, but the bolt that holds the PS pulley on the pump is gone. It must have came loose while I was driving.
Auto parts stores can't order it, only the pulley. Same with the Dodge dealership. The pulley doesn't come with the bolt/nut that secures the pulley onto the pump, and I can't find it anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't drive the truck until I find it.

To those who replied, thank you. Fellow Dakota owners might find this interesting/helpful.
The power steering pulley actually isn't secured to the pump with a bolt (that's why I couldn't find it). The pulley slides on the pump with a pulley puller (like this: ).
But the pump has to be off in order to change out the pulley.
If you ever run into a PS pulley problem, now you'll know.

Ok now I understand what you were looking for yes that’s how it’s done so the pressed on pulley came off?
How did that happen it shouldn’t of happened and never does that’s why I was thinking about something completely different.
This is where a picture or two would of helped tremendously

It was actually a faulty pump that caused the pulley to come off. I had the pump replaced and it was bad, which caused the pulley to come loose.
By the way, I have a brand new pulley from Mopar that I ended not needing if anyone wants it.
