Compression should be 9.8:1 with the stroker kit and heads I have. I'll have to actually check compression with a gauge tonight. I could hear the compression when it was turning over with the spark plugs in though. I'll have to pick up a timing light too, but as far as I know it should still start and run, just maybe misfire or idle bad if timing was off - not simply turn over without firing up. From what I've read even being timed 180* off would start, just idle like crap.

If the ignition timing is off by alot, it'll try to fire right between the exhaust and intake strokes, and no, it won't run (it might try to chug and just not catch though).
You have spark, fuel, and air, it should run.

the PCM has to tell them to fire. That said, it's firing the coil, so I don't see why it wouldn't be firing the injectors...even if the fuel sync was way off, it should still be pushing fuel.
