Default suspension upgrade/ update

ok well i have a question on the 01 4.7 L quad cab 4x4 is the front strut or a shock cause there is no coils in the front? If it is a strut which ones would u guys recomend. another question is i have leaf springs in the rear and shocks which need to be changed u guys think its worth changing the leaf springs since i already need to do the shocks and it looks to be that everything is still original to the truck.

The front is a torsion bar. You then have shocks with it, no struts.

I wouldn't change the leaf springs unless the rear is sagging, you carry a lot most of the time, or you have broken leafs. You can get shocks with springs to assist if you need that.

Nothing to really update except the bars itself. Usually only needed if lots of miles are on the truck. They tend to sag over time. You can crank the torsion bars to get the front end a little higher if you want. You need to get a alignment after that tho.
