Default Bad dyno numbers

Good day ladies and gentlemen, I have a 98 R/T and it runs smooth. It has
race cam, rockers ect, and a Procharger, intercooler and methanol/water injection. Put it on the Dyno today and got a reading of 277bhp and 304lbt. That dosen't seem right to me, dose it to you?

its 250 stock, id figure you'd at least have better numbers with those kinds of mods your running.

you have out tricked your self. what you did is what i see in radio control world a LOT. you didnt learn how to tune the engine. iam old school, i tuned Carter AFBs. get rid of the expensive stuff and just tearn to tune. mostly out of 10 people youll only find 2 that can tune. ill give you one hint. the tuner should be the one that drives it daily.

The engine is 250 stock. He's not measuring at the engine, it's at the wheels. All the accessories are in place, alternator, p/s, water pump, everything. It all takes HP and torque to drive them. Plus he's got the losses in the transmission, driveshaft, and rear axle.

It all adds up, or subtracts, depending upon how you look at it.

I don't think you're doing that bad.

Did you get any baseline numbers before you did the mods? What does your butt dyno say? Does it feel like the mods made a big difference? Does it feel like it runs right?

I bought it as it is, and know that standard should be putting out 250ish bhp. It runs very smooth, and pulls way off the speedo (120mph) but dosen't get there as quick as I think it should. It is badged as "supercharged 550bhp" and has run 11.24 1/4 at 122mph on road tyres, I can't get near that, I can just hit 100mph over a 1/4.

sounds like something has been removed or detuned since it ran a 122 in the 1/4. also is it a built stalled auto? also it could have been someone just telling you some b.s about what it made and ran.
