46RE old style NSS trans convert to TRS switch
#11
I know that this is an old thread.
I have a 2001 2500 5.9 v8 and am putting in a 2002 2500 van transmission case.
I put in the sonnex adaptor. To use a 3 pin plug.
If I read it correctly both the valve body and the rooster comb have to be replaced?
It would seem less troublesome to go back to the five wire plug and make a 5 wire to 3 wire adapter.
Is that possible?

Where is the adapter? I checked their site but its a bit confusing bc I don’t know which transmission i got now since it been replaced. My factory holds 3 prong but my “newer” transmission has 5 prong

Is what it?
I'm a new member here and am looking at the same issue. I'm trying to put the 2001 into a 2000. I found the Sonnex conversion on Ebay that looks like it comes with adapters so you can go either way. I'm reading that some other mods may be required though. Anyone have any insight on that?
Thanks
