Default Need some help guys locating a transfer-case part,..

The tail cone or, housing on the end of the transfer case is cracked.
I lost my driveshaft when my imput shaft had a u-joint fail.
I can't locate one ANYWHERE! '99 extended cab, 318,
On the transfer case is number c-161nat. On the trans, also, 09104.
Any help?? Need my truck for work!!

Could be because your asking for the wrong case? I have only ever heard of nv232 and nv243 to come behind the 5.2. (or np i don't remember what year the name changed)

I believe the part time case is a 243 and the regular 2h, 4h, 4lo case is the 232

The sticker in your glove box has the transfercase model. My 97 5.2Lt extended cab has a 231 in it. If yours is a 231 then your in luck because they are a dime a dozen. Dont limit yourself to just Dak's they were used in jeeps and many others vehicals.

Opps my mistake, they are 231 not 232. They were also used in Durangos.
