Unhappy Messed up O2 sensor

OK I messed up and got a cheap aftermarket. After 5 months it died. Started throwing codes p0132 & p0135 on bank 1 which should be drivers side closest to exhaust manifold. Anyhow I need to replace it. What brand has everyone had luck with?

Also have a p1494 code which is a bad Leak Detection Pump. Looks like this will cost.

NTK on the 02's. Stay away from Bosch.

Good luck with LDP.

+1 on NTK. NTK is the supplier for the OE Mopar O2's, only you can buy them a lot cheaper online. I bought my NTK's from www.sparkplugs.com. They have good prices, better than the dealership.

I have since put about 60,000 miles on my O2's and they are still doing fine, so is my gas mileage. Dan is right on with his advice to stay away from Bosch O2's. They do not work well at all in a Dakota.

It might be worth it to find a used LDP at the junk yard. I had to replace mine a couple years ago and the cost at the dealer was over $140.00. For what it may be worth, I had a P0442 emissions code back in 2010 and did not want to just throw $140.00 at it not knowing for sure if the pump was the true problem. I bought a used LDP off of a "cash for clunkers" truck at the junk yard for $20.00, it worked fine, I cleared the code and have not seen it or any other codes since.

Oh man, your non-NTK o2's actually lasted that long? I cheaped out on rockauto and couldn't even get the truck to idle correctly right off the bat. As others stated, NTK is definitely the most solid choice and if in a rush can be picked up at NAPA.

One exception the Bosch work well if you have a 2.5L engine I put a set of Bosch on 1 year ago and they are still working good. Passed smog this year idles and runs fine

I have replaced every sensor except one the Crankshaft Position Sensor and that will get done soon I dont know if that makes any difference.

Just ordered fronts and rears from rockauto.com; they had the same part number for the fronts L & R, and separate part number for each of the rears. Thought I had read there was s difference between L & R. Roughly $60 each and about $7.00 total shipping.

Hope they work! :-)

Meant to include, I got the NTK sensors.

Robbadodge, it's not a problem. The difference was the harness length.

It all boils down to it being easier to stock one part number.

I assumed so... Logically. But then again, sometimes there is no logic

Thanks!

I used NTK for my replacement and they have worked fine. I pulled the stock ones out and copied the numbers off them and ordered the exact same ones.
