I had a set of ebay lights in my truck and ran them with 55watt 6,000k hid lights and 35 watt 6,000k fogs. The light output was great never really got flashed. Maybe once every few months.

I'm using Silverstar Ultras. HID bulbs are NOT made for reflector housings and will scatter light all over the place when used that way. It may look brighter, but the pattern is terrible and it will be annoying to other drivers.

Thumbs up

Tom A Thanks

I tried to tell that to a guy a few months ago and he thought I was crazy if you notice true HID lights are in a lens enclosure specially made for them to focus the beam like a flashlight.

Kind of like these

No problem. I'm sure there will be plenty here who disagree, though.

They are led strobe lights. As far as the stock lenses and hid's yes it may not be right but they will work just fine. I ran them for about a year got flashed the same amount as I did with my aftermarket lights and actually with my projectors in my ram with hids I get flashed a lot more. I think because the beam is so focused. I dont like the above pic or the projectors in dakotas I think it looks horrible! Thats just my opinion.
