Project, need some help/advice
So I've been wanting a little bit of fun and so I've had an idea to run the truck on some nitro-methane.
Questions:
1) Can our trucks specifically the 4.7 and automatic transmission handle that?
2) How can I easily switch out what fuel I am using? I've thought of a Jerry can holding it and then running a line to the pump which leads to the next question
3) How can I get the fuel to the engine?
4) Where is our fuel pump located?
Also any idea how much power boost that'll be? 40-50 hp?

There could be a chance of melting/burning up a pistion. Is it really worth it to go through the hassle of doing all this work to have a chance in doing that? Buy a tuner, throttle body and cam then you can have reliable power
Fastmans is great but I have to not have a truck for a week which right now. Not motorcycle season I can't really do that. As for a new cam any advice?? I feel like I have to replace my pistons soon anyways approaching 240000 miles. My baby is getting old and worn so I feel like a performance overhaul is in order.
You're playing with fire, quite literally.
You will gain nothing from nitro with a low 9:1 comp street motor, you may actually lose some because the Stoich for methanol is very high and it's BTU is lower than gas.
To get a good meth/nitro mix, you're talking $20 a gallon or more (assuming you can buy nitro by the gallon, it's $1200 for a 44 gallon drum from VP and very few distributors will sell it by the gallon). Methanol is $130 for a 55 gal drum, and we go through a drum every 25 passes, if that tells you anything. M5 is $308 a drum and is 7% nitro pre-mix (3.8 gallons nitro to 51.2 gallons methanol).

Okay, just curious, didn't really have anyone to ask the question to.
As for the fastman, my lucky day, went to the junkyard and found the only 4.7 in the whole place that still had a throttle body and got a spare. Next week I may order a fastman or I got access through a friend with a lift and may switch out my diffs to 3.92!!!

I didnt know 3.55's shipped as a 4x4. News to me. But yes, those are 3.55 #'s. 3.92's would be near my 4.10's, 2K @ 60.
On top of getting the fastman throttle body I am also hacking the transmission to switch it to the 545fre it actually it
And possibly switching to a SCT tuner, cause hands down everyone is recommending it over a superchip and I personally haven't gotten anything out of the superchip tune
