Default (Idiot!!) Wrong Oil

I have NO IDEA how I've made such a bone-headed move, but I've been putting Amsoil 0w-30 Signature Series Synthetic oil in my Dakota for the past 25,000 miles. I've done three oil changes in that period.

I ordered 5w-30 TODAY and am having it delivered by this weekend. What I'm curious about is if I've (potentially) done any damage.

I don't drive too crazy, but I do a lot of mountain and off-road driving. I check my fluid levels frequently and (knock on wood) have not noticed any leaks or issues with the engine.

Hoping I've dodged a bullet? (No pun intended...)

It hasn't. It's been crazy warm here in Colorado.

Won't hurt a thing especially since cold weather is upon us. Switch it back to 5W30 in the Spring if you like.

A thinner oil would actually be alright in the winter. You'll be fine. I highly doubt any damage was done.

I'm sure I'll get flamed, but here goes.

Anything from 0w20 to 10w40 will run in your truck fine.

I'm still using Quaker State straight 40 W with Lucas additive. The only reason for using a lower number multi grade is for cold weather starting. If it gets THAT cold, I don't want to go outside anyway. Throw another log on the fire.
