I will never run Autolite in my 4.7 again, I used them, my MPG went down to 11MGP, once I put Champions back in, it went up to 18.

I have 3923 in my 4.7, and it runs just fine. With that said, I will go with the RC12MCC4 plug the next time I change them. When I installed the 3923 in my truck I was mistakenly informed that that was the right plug for my truck.

As for the challenge... there are two hard pipes crossing the middle. I suppose it's just a matter of removing the bolts keeping them in place, right? Call them hoses, I guess.

Thanks for the input, you guys!
You unclip them. You're talking about the A/C lines, right? The hardest part for me was the damn transmission dipstick tube. I had to pull HARD on that thing to get it out of the way.

Even a wide gap will still work just not the greatest and usually your gas mileage is horrible

I was helping a neighbor replace his plugs in his PT cruiser and the plugs looked like the originally 2000 plugs the gap was monumental and unbelievable it was sparking at all boy was he embarrassed

It was bizzare that he could drive the thing with that wide a gap

With my 2.5 engine I have tried the original Bosch platinum’s Bosch copper core and Bosch iridium’s as well as the champion recommended plugs and would say I liked the original Bosch platinum’s and the Bosch iridium’s the best the champions were good my favorite were the original Bosch platinum’s they just don’t last too long is all and no longer available.

At this time I’m using the Bosch iridium’s with great results along with an Accel Hot coil and the gap at .042

On mine it's the hard heater lines I have to move, not the a/c.

Check your gap? I show .040" on the sticker under the hood.

I think you are correct Dan .040

my 2.5 is a stock gap of .035

What is wild is my engine being a 2.5 Jeep/AMC engine all the jeepers use the same Hot coil and a gap of .060 but this usualy cause the coil to get very hot and many a jeeper have had there coil explode on them

I'll double check the sticker, then. .040 or .045 close enough ;-)

I'm scratching my head here trying to think of how a large plug gap could make a coil get hot.

More power is required to send the spark across?
