Is the bit snaped off in the head? How deep?

Just deleat your monster pic and use my pic

Im not sure how to fix that but you now have a good pic for others to see

I wonder if you could just tack weld it and get the head fixed at a way later date

well i did it so i had 1/16-3/16 buffer between the hold and the threads of the bolt.. i would love to try to weld it, if i had the equiptment, however i dont.. any other ideas?

i read on a boat forum that 2 nails in the splines of the bit, and use vice grips to grab the nails and back out the bit.. im gonna try that tomorrow, but would like to try multiple options before i admit defeat..

You need to be so careful when drilling out any snapped off bolt because snapping off the drill is so common and easy to do did that drilling out my ball joint rivets luckily I wiggled it out with some needle nose pliers

when you get the hole right fallow these rules
1 do NOT use plated bolts.
2. DO use anti-size compound on all threads and bottom of bolt heads.
3. tighten all bolts to only 70-80% of full torque. first time
4. after 6-7 full heat cycles torque to full amount.
5. if they start to leek go to full torque.
these are just guide lines. some people may have other ideas, they might have good ideas, DONT toss them out, if different than my ideas. i DONT know it all.
