v6 to v8 swap
I'm not being clear.
To the OP, where did you get this engine? Are your sure it is a '94?
What are the dimensions of the hole in the crank?
I can't believe that Dodge would make a different crank for auto vs. manual.

okay well i believe the last year they used the bushing with the pilot bearing was 91 or something, but i will tell you know that its definitely not a big enough hole for the bushing also. so can someone give me a part number or something for a bearing to use?? the hole im dealing with is just a tiny bit smaller than the pilot bearing. can you drill or ream it out??
I can't remember exactly, but I do now remember there was something to do with it. This thread will have the info you need. Read through it all and study it.

Still want to see some pictures of your Dakota.

Did you get the 5.2 running? I swapped 3.9 for 5.2 but having PCM problems. Did VIN reflash but still not running. 5.2 will run on 3.9 PCM so I know it's a PCM problem. 5.2 was running before in donor truck. What did you do about PCM?
Well I swapped the PCM also but what did you do about your harness? Cause i have everything ready but dont know what to do about the harness, What did you buy for your v8 harness,? Did you get the harness for your year of Dakota only for the v8??
I used my V6 Dakota harness but added the two injectors and had to extend the passengers side of the harness out in order for it to reach and not look so tight. In the PCM plug were the two blank spots for the injector pins. I also had a pin out chart for the wiring. When I got my 5.2 I got the V8 harness as well for the extra plugs and wires.
