Default Gap between bed and bumper

I want to put a net in place of my tailgate but the only issue that I have is that obnoxious gab between the bed and rear bumper. I am wondering if any of you know a website or a store I can buy something to fill in that gap. I know they make covers for convertibles but I don't know if those same companies make something for this. I have thought of going to lowes and getting weather treated wood and staining it but I want to see if anyone has done this before and how did it turn out? Thanks

Why are you getting a net you know they have proven your tailgate doesn’t create any air drag on your truck at all it’s an old wife’s tail

A number of times the tailgate air drag has been proven to not be there

I understand and already know what myth busters did. Just doing it for looks. That's why the gap is the only thing stopping me from putting it on. So does anyone know any aftermarket part that'll work? I appreciate it

you could get a roll pan. but I don't think a net will ever look as clean or appealing as a nice tailgate.
