285/75/16

yeah mine sat level pretty much without anything, but it seemed to sit higher stock than some of the others i'd seen. And, honestly it isn't that bad of a ride. It just makes it ride a bit more like a truck. For the money and ease, I would defiantly do the blocks and t-bar again. And yeah, Im pretty sure those are wider than the 285s, they might rub not too sure.

ya i think you sold me on the 285s... i don't want a lot of rubbing.. i can deal with a little....dave i can seam to find your truck ( again i may not be looking in the right place) sure would like to see it!! So i undestand you ..your saying crank the t-bars and put a 2" block in the rear??

Hey DakCC4x4, you said you fit 285's with just cranking the t bars? I need new tires and have 265/75-16 right now and they only rub in reverse which is weird. I am thinking about going up to a 285/75-16. My t bars have not been cranked so I am not as worried about the fitment, I'll cut plastic if I have too, and there is rooom for days on the rear. My question for you is what motor do you have? Did you notice a difference in how the truck drove, and what kind of fuel economy decrease if any at all?

If you can build a full leaf pack for the rear is better than blocks and short add a leaves. My last truck(97 Nissan 4wd) i used stock Grand Wagoneer front leaf packs and built a hybrid pack using the top Nissan leaf. Road better and handle loads 10 times better than stock with short AAL.

Agreed. And between a 2" block and an add-a-leaf, I would choose the block. Not that I'm a fan of lift blocks, but they're perfectly ok in smaller sizes and they'll preserve the stock ride, while add-a-leafs will make your truck ride like crap.
