I dont think you will have any luck getting what you need I will also say if it was that worn out then the alternator is worn out also a compleat new alternetor is your best bet.

Or junker if you can find one remember these are on many autos ask an auto junkyard what other vehicles have the same alternator they will know.

A jeep will have the same model alternator same Dodge Ram truck and Dodge Durango

Usually, the last letters on the part number indicate the revision level.

56041693AA was superceded by 56041693AB, etc. The only problem is, you have a 136 amp alternator, not a 120.

Still, it might fit.

Its going to be interesting to see if you can get these brushes and get it back together and it works.

Go for it

I grabbed a used alt its sitting in a box waiting for that time, I could look for part #'s on it if you want?

so my question is..are the contact points wider on a 136..or is it other internal componets ramping up the amps

Your thread got me wondering about the used one I grabbed a few months ago as a backup so I pulled it out took the back off and looked figured it would be a good way to see how worn the brush contacts are as to how old it was.

Results it’s worn but I think its ok probably last 5 or 6 years my original is 15 years old now and still working great so I think I’m ok.

Got to clean out the brush hole and use some caned air to blow the crap out so it’s nice and clean inside now

Interesting stuff
