https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...nch-mount.html This could also be an option if you dont want to replace the whole front end

I had some time to start building my bumper today. It's not even close to being finished, but here's how it looks so far:

Looking good Tom, what thickness of plate did you use? Mine will be on today including the winch and sliders.

The center section is an old Warn winch mount, so I think it's 5/16. I had to make frame brackets for it out of 1/4. The main sections on the sides are 6x3x1/8 tubing tapered down to 4" at the ends to match up with the 4x3x1/8 tubing that goes around the sides. The top angled sections are 1/8 with reinforcements inside.

I know most winch bumpers are 3/16, but I think the tubing will actually be stronger than 3/16 plate.

Thanks.

I got the lower trim on it today, and also some interior bracing and stuff. I ran out of steel with only the end caps left to do, so I need to pick up like 18" of flatbar this week.

It still needs some finishing touches (I'm debating whether or not to cut holes and mount lights in it, and also whether I should put some kind of a grille guard hoop on it) and it obviously isn't painted yet (I think I'm going to have it sprayed with bedliner stuff once I'm certain I don't want to change anything), but here it is, mostly done:
