I purchased this 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT 4x4 with only 15,315 miles last August, just rolled 23,000. I'm thinking of adding a lift kit and other mods.

Here is a list of what I have added so far.
Kenwood deck
MTX speakers
Remote Start
K&N Cold Air Intake
Throttle Body from www.thefastman.com
SCT Tuner from www.hemifevertuning.com delivery this week

~1,000 miles a year? Who the heck was driving it? Nice looking truck. I don't know if I've ever seen one that color.

The guy I bought it from only drove it twice last year, he would use it to pull his boat and camper around. He sold both and didn't need the truck anymore. Lucky for me.

How high are you looking to lift it? You can do a body lift and/or a mild torsion bar lift, but you're going to find that the options for a "real" suspension lift are extremely limited.

Thats a really low mileage dakota!! I drove my truck 6,000 miles in 10 months lol. Im really lucky to break 10k in a year lol

The thing about dakotas is there is only 1 maker of suspension lifts for the dakota(i havent checked lately if they are still making them) There for around 1,500.00. The more economical way is to crank the torsion bars and add a 2in body lift. Cranking the torsion bars alone will allow you to fit 32's. Also im big into tinting the front windows. I did my dakota and my ram was done also. They make a big difference and I like the look of it.

And I think even those only fit 97-98 trucks.

^^^ I thought that you could use the 02 kit on the 03 but that was awhile ago. They might not even make it anymore. I know they still offer the 97-99 one.

Could be. I thought the only kits available for rack and pinion steering were only for third generation trucks.

I've actually saw a few that color before. My buddys dad used to have a dak that color. There was a cummins some guy just posted up yesterday and his is that color with silver on the bottom. Its kinda rare to see my color on 2nd gen rams cause i've only saw like 3 ever and the other 2 were on ebay.
