Default Bearing Hub Size Difference

I could swear I posted about this, but I can't find it in my subscriptions. Wasting another thread...

My QC has rear only ABS sensors, but I purchased a front hub several months ago with ABS (not realizing it wasn't 4WAL). By the time I realized the mistake, the 30-day return had expired with Rockauto and it's been sitting in my garage.

What is the difference between a hub with ABS and a hub without? Does the one with just have the hole drilled for the sensor or is there a thicker section to allow for the sensor?

The hub the shop installed is going out again and I'm tired of going back to them each time. I can just cut the wires and leave the sensor in place if size doesn't matter.

Thanks in advance.

It shouldn't matter if you use the hub. The other parts are identical so you should have no problems installing it.

Make sure it is torqued properly or it will destroy itself quickly. Don't use an impact wrench to torque it.

In '01, should be the same, the hub itself 123 foot pounds. The half shaft nut, 173 foot pounds.

Thank you for clarifying... I would have used the 123 on the axle.

I don't know what I did earlier but the hub mounting bolts are 123 foot pounds.

The half shaft nut, 173 foot pounds.

at least 1-2-3 doesn't yield the infinity symbol. That would be bad.
