Default Heater/AC fan

My fan stopped working all of a sudden in my 03 Dakota.

I tried all the fuses and they look fine. Had to check all of them because there is no "Fan motor" fuse label.

Is there anything else I should look at? I am hoping it is not a bad fan motor. If it is a bad fan, how difficult are they to remove/replace?

Thanks

More Info... After being dead for a week, my fan started working without notice. Then, just as suddenly, it stopped. Then it started gain. Then it stopped.

So it works intermittently with no warning or notice, it will just come on/go off.

Makes sense it is the blower motor control module / resistor. Right?

I'd check out the resistor first, it's a known problem area. After that, check the grounds.

I just repaired this on my '03 today. Same issue, no fan. Put in new resistor block, pulled the fan and ran it on the bench. Ran fine and fast. Put it all back together and it runs fine now. Took about an hour to complete but that's because I'm not as flexible as I used to be.

I replaced the resistor block several weeks ago. After about 2 months the fan stopped working again. I replaced the block with a better one and it worked fine for a few weeks then it stopped again and works intermittently now.

Am at my wits end. Some one said it might be a bad ground. Not sure where to even where to look for a ground terminal.

Driving me nuts.

wherever ground point number 207 is location, per the diagram above.

Thanks.

I can see the diagram, but your guess is as good as mine where the heck that is.

Was hoping for a little more clarification
