Adrenaline 3" Lift Kit
#11
I looked at that same kit a few weeks ago.
I ended up going with this...
http://www.totalperformanceonline.co...21/30/100-14-2.
It's cheaper than the adrenaline kit, you're looking at a total of 170 (150 + Shipping $20)
They're pretty straight forward to install as long as you have a breaker bar and a can of PB blaster.
Depending on how rusty your torsion keys are it can be pretty hard getting the keys off and removing the torsion bar from the lower control arm. I'm hopefully knocking this lift out finally this coming weekend. My torsion bars are pretty stuck in the control arms so PB blaster is currently my best friend.

Thanks!
Also, are you planning on replacing you shocks when you do this one. Some of the research I have done recommend doing this.

01blackdak... If you could post some pics up as you go along that would do the rest of us looking at a suspension lift wonders. I myself am looking at most, a 2" suspension lift and the link you put up there interests me. Any feedback on ride quality, ease of installation, do you end up needing to replace the shocks as suggested, would be greatly appreciated - Thanks, Sean
That is much better than what I found. I didn't really want 3" like the one I found was and most of the body lift's are 3" as well. This is looking like the one i'm going to get.
Thanks!

But like I said I can't replace the shocks yet since I'm on a budget till I start working on the railroad again. But I plan on replacing the shocks this summer if I have enough cash left over from a few more important projects on the truck.

Yeah I can do that! I'll post up a thread some time this weekend with this and a few other things I've done. As for the shocks I'm not going to replace them yet since I'm away at college a majority of the time so she doesn't get driven much until summer. I can tell you already ease of installation depends on how stuck your torsion bars are to the lower control arm and keys, mine are pretty stuck so it's just a matter of hammering and pulling on the suckers till they come off.
Welcome! and yeah I didn't want 3" of lift just yet either since I only have 31's on her now. I just think it'd look a little goofy.

Sweet. Look forward to seeing some pics and I'm going to order my kit sometime this week.

Okay, so a little update, no real progress yet though.
I got home around noon today from school and got working on the truck right away. The good news is the keys are finally freely moving on the t-bars now.
The bad news restricting the forward progress of this project is the t-bars being stuck in the control arms.
While I was away at school my Dad soaked the t-bars up by the control arm in PB blaster for the past week and they still wont budge. I was working and hammering away at them all day basically with no progress, I even removed the sway bar, disconnected the control arm from the knuckle and mount to remove them as one piece and hammer on it from the vice grip... as confident I was a this point still nothing. I threw in the towel for the night and am going to try my luck tomorrow bright and early.
So depending on how badly your t-bars are rust locked to the control arms the front half of the project is a real pain.

In order to get the stock keys off and the new ones on.
The t-bars should go forward through the control arm after hitting the pin in front of them up out of the way.
However, mine are really stuck in there so I'm trying to bust them out of there to make the install 'easier' so to say instead of beating the living hell out of em with a bfh and making no forward progress from under the truck.
