I'm just kind of clueless as to what to check first. I was thinking TPS maybe, but it seems like it could be a solenoid in the trans. I'm just not sure.
2200 / 3.55 * 60 * 31 * 3.14159 / 12 / 5280 = 57 MPH in third

1800 / .69 / 3.55 * 60 * 31 * 3.14159 / 12 / 5280 = 68 MPH in 4th with TCC locked

So why is it going from 4th and then locking the TCC then back to 3rd randomly? And then going back to 4th and taking awhile to lock the TCC? Not to , but I'm still not quite understanding why it's doing this. Is my torque convertor bad? A shift solenoid? What do you guys think? I know it's not normal, because it has never done what it does now.

The PCM will not go into OD unless the TCC has locked (It'll lock towards the top of 3rd gear). If it's in OD and the TCC fails for whatever reason, it'll kick out of OD to keep from destroying the clutches. But it should also throw a code.

The way it is right now, you can probably get it serviced alot cheaper than if you wait. Ask me how I know. Even a quick pan drop can tell you a whole hell of alot.

Oh alright I see what you're saying. I forgot it could throw a code for something like this, because my check engine light is always on thanks to the SCT tune which is written so that the computer thinks there's a certain sensor but there really isn't so it trips a code. So yeah check engine is always on. I will check for other codes tomorrow though. I can't drop the pan here at school, that won't fly with the tree huggers here lol
