Im working on a 1999 Dakota Sport Club Cab with the 5.2 Magnum V8. Im pretty sure it has the 44re trans in it but i dont know much about these trucks. The trans needs to be be pulled out and i think im almost there. The bolts that hold the tran to the block are all out and the ones that hold it to the crossmember. i dont really know where to go from there. The coolant lines are disconnected and so is the linkage.

My question is: Besides the coolant lines and the electrical what else has to be done for this trans to come out?

 

Disconnect the driveshaft from the rear of the OD unit for starters.

 

Yeah thats all done the transfer case is out and the driveshaft. The only thing i dont know about is the Torque Converter.
