Default Ticking in engine

Sometimes when I first start up the truck and back up or when I'm moving slowly through a parking lot there is a ticking and rattling in the right side of the engine. It's not when I accelerate or anything I'm just not sure what it is but it makes the truck sound junky.

Exhaust manifold bolts?

Very common problem on the Ram's.

Does it sounds like metal hitting metal? And is the frequency constant? Almost like it is your valves making the noise?

It's just a quick little rattling like something is shaking lightly for a few seconds

Then goes away completely until the next cold start....?

Normal engine sounds. Get a louder exhaust, the ticking will go away.

Put some oil additive in just as a precaution, it may get rid of the noise within about 50 miles. If you can still hear it after the additive is put in but it is much quieter. Then I have bad news for you, you might need to start budgeting for an engine replacement in a few years.

My engine rod is almost worn out and this is the best I can do from the forums. My engine makes a similar noise, and it is located on the right side of the engine. And I originally thought it is was the exhaust manifold (but I didn't have a leak).
