Default Can You Replace a 97 3.9L With a 96 3.9L?

I started a thread earlier this month about water leaking into the oil pan. It turns out the block was cracked. I have found a 96 3.9l with low mileage at a very descent price. Is it possible to do this without much trouble? I was just wondering if anyone here has experience with this. Thank you.

I'm glad you found out what was up with other engine, sorry it was the block.

The engine itself should bolt right in. It's the electrical/fuel system that may have some changes, different connectors, things like that. It's not a big issue as you can salvage the parts off your other engine.
