Default Gas Mileage issues...tires?

I have an 04 dakota, bone stock. 200k.

Just did new spark plugs, air filter, some gas additives. etc.

Im only getting 10 mpg mostly city a little highway.

I have 265/75/16.
They are bridgestone all terrain t/a's I believe.

Is this whats hurting it? I dont expect great mpg, but I would like to get a little better especially since now I have a boat. and drive some good distances for fishing.

I want that size tire because it looks nice and I like the more aggressive tread. So any help or info is appreciated!

I have an 02 qcab 4x4 4.7 with 130k I get about 13 mpg mostly city.
At 200k I'd look at replacing the o2 sensors.
PS my tires size are the same as yours.

A couple of things,

The O2 sensors can get slow as they age and not show any codes. Have they been changed before?

The MAP sensor can also fail and not show codes.

I have a 3.9 but I can definitely say after I replaced my MAP senor and both upstream O2 sensors my own MPG went up a good bit, maybe 4 to 5 MPG mixed city/highway. It helped out on power too. Here is a really good thread about the MAP sensors. It helped me a lot.

Start with replacing the MAP and see how things go

got the new MAP in today. we will see how it is. I really dont like the sounds of 02 sensors....i NEVER have any luck with getting those off. and they arent cheap. especially when a shop has to cut them out.

Lots of factors come into play. Depending how much traffic, terrain, condition of brakes. Are you hand calculating mileage?

all brakes are new except driver rear.

no traffic. not a heavy foot. regular roads. not hilly or winding. 21 gallon tank. 210-230 miles per tank. thats how I calculated it.
