Start off with a thorough examination of the brake system. How are the shoes/pads? Is the pedal firm or does it "sink" to the floor? Is it pulling? Do you smell "burning" from any of the pads.
I have no noticed any of the above,BUT,the light is on as well..??

Get the code read.

The dealer or a good brake shop can do this for you. Many of the more inexpensive code readers will not read ABS codes.

Trying to fix it, without knowing what the code is, could lead you to waste your money on parts you don't need.
