Is a jumper wire a safe alternative to fixing the wire? I have thought about just removing wire from connector 12 and ignition switch and running my own wire but idk how to remove wires from harnesses...

Also the only wire I have laying around is speaker wire. Would this be adequate or send my truck up in flames?

There's nothing wrong with replacing a bad wire. Do NOT use speaker wire. Buy a small roll of #12 at your auto parts store. It is not the same as wire used for a house either. Get some good quality crimp connectors too.

A little trick, get a safety pin and use that to puncture the wire you are testing. You may be able to find the break. It could even be a bad connection AT the ignition switch or the junction block.

Then, if you are positive that the wire is the correct one, splice it. You can cut the wire so you don't have to go into the junction box just make your splices someplace accessible.

What I'm going to do is cut the wire 3 inches from junction box connector 12 and 3 inches from ignition switch and splice a wire from those 2 points. That way if it doesn't work I can just splice the original wire back together like nothing happened. This is my plan but I won't do until I hear your opinion on procedure.

That sounds like a good idea. You could even leave them longer if you can.

I know I keep asking but you are positive you have the correct wire?

I know you have the diagram but this is how I determined the wire being the issue so you can tell me if I'm wrong or right. Pink/black from pdc to ignition switch and power from that fuse/wire converts to straight line black/orange wire to connector 12 junction box and that black/orange wire powers fuses 21, 24, 25, 26, and 27 which they are the only ones not receiving power. The pink/black wire does show power in ignition switch via test light and the black/orange wire shows no continuity from ignition terminal to connector 12 terminal. If I might be missing a step please advise because this is the first time with electrical problems.

As long as you are testing for power with the key in "RUN" then you are fine. I know, you checked continuity with the fuses out and showed open.

I'm pretty sure you are on the right wire.

Do it.

I didn't check continuity with fuses out I checked with connector 12 disconnected and tested from harness to harness. I'm going to buy wire tomorrow but won't be able to splice until Sunday and I will make sure I tell you if it worked or not. I really thank you for all your help, I really didn't want to put it in shop and pay over 500 for diagnosis.
