bigger brakes stronger hubs
I'm working with a friend on this right now.
2WD, you can use the 03 upright/spindle with an 01 Ram hub and F-150 rotor on the front. In back, I'm working with a local offroad shop to offer swap-in 5 lug axles. The caviat is that rotors are only available for a 5 lug pattern for the 9 and 11 inch brake drums, not the 10 inch. Some people have had their flanges welded and re-drilled, but I would not trust that.
4WD is still in the air on what will/will not work.

Like I said, i'm working on a friend that owns a local off road shop that does baja rigs, rock climbers, mud trucks, ect. He has axle cutting/splining equipment, so all I need is axle lengths and spline counts and he can make them. Just don't know cost yet (He's on vacation for the first time in a good while, it's a 5 man shop when he's there and 4 when he's gone).
The front combination of the 03 dak upright/01 ram hub/F150 rotor is a known working combination for 2WD. But I do not know about 4WD compatibility yet. I need to find out if the ram and dakota use the same CV stubs and hub mounting pattern.

thanks, I'll make to check on that for sure. Could probably put the ram CV's on the dakota diff, methinks (again, assuming the hub bolt-up pattern for the 3 bolts are same and front diff are same)

supposedly they do for 2WD. The rotor has to be modified just a shave to fit the bolt pattern. I forget what year the rotor is though....it's out on the interwebs....hint: it's a forum that we're not allowed to link to on here.
