Default passenger power window problems

Hello I just bought a 1999 dodge Dakota r/t. The only problem with it is the passenger window won't roll down. I was wondering where to start to try and fix it. The whole passenger door switch doesn't work and the driver door switch won't roll down the passenger window or the power door lock. Is it the switches, wiring or power motor? I checked the fuses and they are fine. Any help with this problem would be very helpful.

Could be a bad ground.

From what I have read on here. The ground is shared for all the door switches, so if it was a bad ground they would all not work, but thank you I will check the ground to start off with.

The windows and doors are two separate systems.

Does the drivers door lock/unlock from the button? Both doors locks use the same circuit so if only one works you can rule out the CTM.

On the windows, check for power at the switch. Put your meter across the brown with white tracer and the violet with white wires. Try the driver switch. You should note voltage either up or down (one direction will read -).

OK,

Do you have RKE? The remote for the locks? Does it work?

Could it be a loose wire in the connectors? I know on my truck, the connector on my safety button is damaged. If that door won't roll down, I just pull the switch panel off the door panel, snug up the connector, and it works.

the whole switch pod comes unclipped from the door panel. Mine broke off by accident, no idea how it's supposed to come off. (probably related to that connector being damaged)

Like Magnethead says it breaks easy so be careful disconnecting the switch. The good news is that if the RKE works the CTM is working.
