Got a 2000 RT Dakota that had a engine fire,the dealer said harness is 2000 only and no longer available so what are my options on a engine harness. Can one from a 318 work and how about a Durango,Chrysler products with EFI are not my strong point as 70s on back are what I am familiar with.

 

As I recall, the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 use pretty much the same harness. Injectors 7 and 8 are the only difference (V8 has them, V6 does not). 4.7 uses it's own harness.

I looked on http://www.car-part.com/ and they listed a few at good prices I did my search for all of the USA as most will ship to you.

But be very careful you can get the shaft by some places sending you the wrong parts with no refund.

Ask for them to email you pictures if they don't F-them go to the next place.

Local is better if you can find the part

 

Are the Dakota and Duragno the same as I located a 2000 Durango with a 5.9.

 

should be, on the PCM side. Anything to do with the CTM/interior will be different.

 

Some of the wire colors can be different. Functionally though they should be the same.
