There is a noticeable decrease in low end power it seems to be not as quick accelerating in low end,as it would normally I'm pretty sure its due to the decreased back pressure. The exhaust broke off right below the cab I believe that is where all the noise is coming from now :P. anyway I'm taking it to the shop when I get up in the morning to see what can be done for 200 bucks.

Too much snow this morning to go anywhere but I did crawl under it to see where it broke at. The tubing that is after the muffler broke off! So everything up too and including the muffler is fine it's just the piping after it that broke. No wonder it sounded so good ! Hahaha

so I just bought two Sony xplod XS-R1645 door speakers for my dakota. They are rated at 270 watt max. I know that's not the measurement to go by but will they be ok with a 300 watt amp ?

Edit: I've installed them, they seem to be fine.

I just realized, with my next oil change due at around 189600 miles, that I am getting awfully close to that 200K mark, glad I had that high mileage oil put in haha. With that in mind, what (besides a tune-up, that is what I'm going to do next) should be on my list to check or replace ? Ball joints ? I do also need an alignment. Hmm..

open your wallet, turn it upside down, and whatever falls out that your truck doesn't consume, I will happily take off your hands.

Hahaha. I see your point there. But seriously what should be the next big thing to check or replace after I do a tune up ?

alignment first before you destroy your tires...battery age (sticker on it)? No oil splatter on bottom of bed from a roasted pinion seal, no leaks/drips on the ground? No clunks or clanks or bangs from the front suspension when you shift/clutch? Steering is tight?

I replaced the battery last week. The tires are balder than all hell so I guess I'm a little late on that. I'll have to look at the bottom of the bed again but I don't recall seeing any oil splatter. Haven't seen any drips or leaks on the ground, so that is good news. There is no clunking or bangs when I shift. About the steering, she pulls to the right, that is why I was thinking I was needing an alignment.
