Default HELP!! Just put 15 inch wheels and tires on and rubbing on inside lip of rim

I got a great deal on a set of Goodyear wrangler authority 31x10.5x15 tires on stock 15 inch dakota rims off a 2wd dakota. I drive a 02 quad cab 4x4 and they were rubbing at full turn but I figured it was just plastic wheel well covering. When I was just driving I felt a clunk in front and my steering wheel felt really weird and I could turn it way more than normal and if I turn all the way to right I hear a clunk while in park. I looked at inside of rim and my rim is all scraped on lip of both rims. Steering still works just don't seem right any help? I've only had these wheels on for a week...... Also while driving very slow and braking, I get a big clunk in front right

Sounds like the backspacing might be different. I would check that first. If there is less backspacing then the rims you had on there before it would bring the wheel in closer to the hub than before.

Pull the wheels off and see if you can tell where they're rubbing. You might be able to grind down the offending part enough for it to clear.

Are the new wheels the same width and offset as the old ones? If the backspacing is more than the old ones, they might be hitting your tie rod ends or other steering components.
