Interesting. How do you adjust compression ratio via PCM when there isn't electronically variable valvetrain? If the valves were actuated by electical impulses, you could open one sooner, or keep it open longer, to drop CR, but otherwise you're stuck with Volume max divided by Volume min.

What they did was pull timing and fiddle with the curve.

The 45RFE trans controller is flashable to make it into a 5 speed auto, and in up coming years will be made into a 6 speed auto via the new program for the trans controller. I'm not sure ow you go about obtaining the flash. But the 45RFE trans are the same used in the Durango, Dakota, Ram and Grand Cherokee.
