I think it was a hit and run, Moe.

I was on the other side of this sort of deal in an ice storm in Dallas. The guy entered the highway on the right--smack dab in front of me and I just bumped his rear--sending him into a jersey barrier. I stopped, we left the car in the center median and drove to a phone (this was early 90's no cell phone.) Allstate (both of our insurance carrier) towed the car off the highway. I ended up giving him & his passenger a ride home--on my way to a motel for the nite.

Allstate charged me with the accident, I think, but didn't affect my rate.

My Mom taught us growing up that if you sell your soul, don't sell it cheap.

Looks like you're ready to pull the bumper and fender off. You'll probably have to sawzall the fender, and the bumper is a certainty. Be careful where you cut, there *might* be salvageable brackets under there, as unlikely as it seems. The plastic parts folds away easily. Just sawzall the top metal part, then hook it with a pry bar and it should start un-folding off the nose of the frame rail. Then you should be able to get to those 17 or 18mm bolts.

Didn't need to sawzall anything. Today all i used was a breaker bar, some metric sockets, and a giant crow bar and everything came off. Pictures coming in my next post they are taking long to host.

Well the exterior is disassembled. Here is all the pictures:

Difference between damaged and undamaged side

Also ALL cab mounts look fine. except for the one on impact side near radiator. As far as the damage goes nothing looks serious and the only thing that needs to be done is finding good parts.

neeless to say, you're gonna need to get a new bumper mount from the junkyard, and beat the living ..... out of that frame rail to make the mount go on and sit where it's supposed to. Other than that, looks like my truck did there for awhile..LOL....you'll be on the road in no time.

So no conclusive answer as to why the cab is tweaked sideways on the frame?

I'm surprised you left the core support in. Looks like it got a little bent right at the body mount, but that's it. Check your A/C and any other lines while you're in there, make sure nothing hit them and they didn't hit anything.
