ok so i know they make them but idk who or where to order one. i read up on the over and under gearing issue with over size tire and my thinking is one more gearwill solve the over gear issue ill have with the 4.56 gear ratio. anyone have any ideas.

 

In '05 Dodge used a Getrag 6 speed. It probably won't help with the gearing though.

Getrag: 6th was 0.79 to 1. NV3500: 5th is 0.73 to 1.
Getrag: 1st is 4.23 to 1. Nv3500: 1st is 4.01 to 1 OR 3.48 to 1.

 

I wish they made a 4.30 gear for our axles. It would solve so many problems between the 4.10 and 4.56.

 

you might want to evaluate running just a slightly different tire size to work towards the ideal ratio, rather than playing musical gearsets.

 

The Dakota (Dodge's version of the NV3500) has a 1st of 4.01. As for matting a 6-speed Getrag to a 5.2, I've never heard of it, sounds like a cool project if you can.
