drop pan change fliud and filter. and i have flushed trannys with 200k on them no problem its all in the flush system and the speed you flush at. most places turn there systems way up and dont servive the equipment. ours we go off the pressure the stock pump puts out because it uses the pump in the tranny to do the flush so it wont matter either way.

Well ive always been told don't risk it. An it is a risk because if i do this an it goes out its my only vehicle me and my family has atm an i don't have 1400 to rebuild it. Plus Im disabled so that on top of it.

The reason i ask is because the wiring looks the same but don't know anything about transmissions yet

It won't be a straight swap. Your 42re is electronically controlled while your 42rh is hydraulically controlled.

It may be possible using your other truck for parts but its more of a project than its worth IMO.

You're probably best to top the fluid and adjust your TV cable and leave it at that. Especially if you can't risk or afford a hefty repair.

It sucks to drive something that could go bad on you any day, believe me I know.

Yea cuz its more of changing the filter that messes them up cuz of the pressure issue. So i am about to put some Lucas in it n drive it til it goes but hey its got a rebuilt motor an $11,000 worth of other new parts if someone needs one I've got every receipt over the last year and half to verify parts an warranty lol
