No one makes a thicker stiffer torsion bar for the Dakota or their is no room for a thicker bar is that the problem?

I remember on my Baja bug you had a number of stiffer bars to choose from I had them.

If your spending the time to ditch the bars might as well spend extra time and do a solid axle. After that you have unlimited lift possibilitys plus being way stronger.

Question

I'm in the process of collecting parts for this. I have a set of 10" Radflo coilovers and i have the jigs built for a set of upper and lower control arms. I just need to order my uniball kits and bushing kits. Im thinking of using Ram 1500 axles for a little more width. For the ram axles to work I have to swap the outer shaft with the stock ones.

how are you planning to pass the axle shafts through the coil springs?

The upper will be made from 1 1/2 DOM and will have more room for clearance. The coilovers will mount on the lower control arm. There is enough room between the steering and axle shaft.
