Default Wiper blades

Got a 98 Dakota and I cannot find a set of wiper blades that will actually sit on the windshield when driving higher speeds. Any suggestions??? It's that time of year with the snow melt and dirty roads.

I haven't had much luck with those beam style ones, so I went ahead and got a set of silblade traditional style wipers off amazon. They were pretty pricey for wipers, but they have a 5 year guarantee.

These are the ones I got:
Amazon.com: Silblade WB122S Premium Black Silicone Wiper Blade, 22" (Pack of 1): Automotive Amazon.com: Silblade WB122S Premium Black Silicone Wiper Blade, 22" (Pack of 1): Automotive

Instead of the stock 20" for both sides I went with 22" for the driver's side and 21" for the passenger's side since they were actually cheaper and cover more of the windshield.

I have had good luck so far with the Trico Exact Fit blades from Advance. I put a set of Trico's on my truck maybe 2 months ago and they are doing fine but I don't drive much over about 70 mph so I can't say much about staying on the windshield at higher speeds. If you are willing to pay the shipping www.rockauto.com has a lot of blades for Dakota's and Durango's on sale for cheap, some are as low as $2.00 each.

Take into consideration that at higher speeds, the aerodynamics of the vehicle naturally push the wipers up off the windshield. The only way to really defeat it is to find wiper blades that have some kind of wiper blade areodynamic design or some craziness. I never really had that much of a problem keeping my wipers down on my Durango in the 55-65mph range. Maybe your wiper arms are jacked up?

The fastest I remember having mine on was 75 and they weren't lifting off.

Question

I have been at 85 to 110 mph and never had that happen maybe your wiper arm springs are shot or if you got the Dakota used the previous owner changed the arms out to some other arms for some unknown reason.

I like Anco wiper blades but for some reason they are no longer available anywhere kind of strange every store that used to stock them no longer do they still have a web site but no one has them.

I have had good luck with 'winter' blades all season.
I know there are some out there with little air dam/spoilers on them also.

Use the Trico Force on mine. DS 22" and PS 21" from O'Reilly's

Only issue I know of is during the exit of the car wash, those blower air knives lift them considerably off the WS!
