Hi I have been asking around and can't get a good answer from anybody. I would like to take a 5sp out of a 99 dodge Dakota with a 3.9 and put in my 2000 dodge Dakota. Will the 5sp bolt up and work???
it will bolt up but, you need to provide more information. the 99 3.9 is most likely an ax15. if your bolting to an existing 3.9 you should have nothing to worry about. if your bolting to a 3.9 a 4.7 bellhousing I believe is the same. you will need a flywheel and your computer will throw a tranny code. personaly I wouldn't mess with a 2000 97-99 where good years to swap parts around 2000 the wiring and computers changed. i figured out the hard way. if you are bolting to a v8 i suggest using a nv3500
