Default '03 overhead console wiring diagram

I am currently in the process of upgrading my overhead console on my 03 Dakota. Sure could use a wiring diagram to make this thing work. Either build my own, or link to find the harness. Thanks

should be some pretty detailed guides on here...use search or look in the DIY thread. overheads from 97-99 and 01-04 are not cross-compatiable.

I moved this into a new thread.

Do you have the new console yet? Make sure it's for an '01 or later.

You don't need a harness really. There is only four wires, power, a ground, a connection to the PCI bus, and to the panel light dimmer. You can do all the connections near the radio easily. We don't have the '03 wiring diagram but the '01 is very close.

NOTE: the '02 Dakota link is not correct. It'll say it's for an '03 Dak but it's really for the Ram.

Go here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-download.html

You'll need to uncompress it. It has the full wiring diagrams.

You'll also need the outside air temp sensor. The wiring harness should be on the passenger side of the radiator under the rubber flaps.
