I have a 97 dodge Dakota SLT. Mine would start in the mornings to go to work but leaving work would always just cut out like I turned the ignition off... If I could even get it started. Eventually I replaced the ECM and my truck hasn't had that issue since. But my truck also previously had an exhaust leak that overheated the engine coartment and I'm pretty sure cause cracks in the old ECM.

My wife is part of a Ladybug group of girls. Welcome to the forum!

Sorry you've been left out in the cold for a little while. What temp does your engine get to when it won't start?

I have a different engine, but the solution may be the same. I replaced my fan clutch to solve my challenge.

Good luck!

What do you mean it wont start? Cranks and cranks or no power?
