The NV242 was NOT offered with the 5 speed, at least through '00.

The NV231 out of a v6 will fit as both should have the NV3500.

Dodge won't look up parts without a VIN number so this is the best I can do.

As long as it is out of a 5 speed it should fit fine.

In '00, I don't have a '99 parts manual, there is only one transfer case for all manual transmissions. Engine didn't matter either.

I looked it up on Rockauto for '99. They list 2 versions and the only difference is the spline count on the output shaft, 27 or 32.

Any GOOD boneyard WILL have an interchange manual but from what I see, I'd do it.
