Default Scan tool mode $06?

My scan tool can give information about mode $06 tests. I feel that this is a great way to help diagnose problems or even impending problems. But this data is useless unless I can decipher it. All the info is in hex/dec and I don't have means to figure it out. It gives the test numbers and values (in hex/dec) and states if the test passes "ok" or if the values are "high" or "low". If the test number is $11 and it says that the value is "low" how do I know what was tested and what the upper and lower test values should be? It's my understanding that every model of car or truck has it's own unique set of values (for sensors, etc.) that were set up for it when it was engineered. It's nearly impossible to find data sheets with this information. Everybody seems so tight-lipped. It's as though it's the Holy Grail and you only have access to it if you're one of the "chosen few".

OK, enough of my rant. Here's what I found on my scan tool about my truck: (2001 Dakota Sport 3.9L 42RE trans 2WD Standard Cab 112" WB)

Under "special test" > "Non-Continuous (monitoring) Test" >
Test#
$11 low
$13 ok
$15 ok
$16 ok
$17 ok
$19 ok
$1A ok
$21 High
$22 ok
$31 low
$33 ok
$36 ok
$37 ok
$39 ok
$3A ok
$51 low
$52 low
$53 low
$61 ok
$62 ok
$63 ok

If I knew what all of this meant, I could rule out a lot of things when diagnosing my truck. I'm curious to see who (if anybody) is going to give me any info.

Here's something: http://d-tips.com/General/Mode$06/De...=2001_Chrysler

There isn't much out there. Most of it is subscription based.

I've seen some other sites that had the information that I want to obtain but they required you to be an ASE certified Tech just to join. I briefly looked at the site you posted but didn't see that requirement there. I don't care if I have to subscribe if it means that I have access to the data I need. You're right...the free stuff they show is rather limited but it is quite informative and I learned a few things.
I think I'm heading in the right direction with this.

Thanks.

edit: After looking at the TID chart, it's looking like I'm having some issues with O2 sensors, catalyst, and EVAP, which could explain the way the truck is running. But you'd think I'd get some kind of a DTC or something. I think I'll have my work cut out for me.

Not everything sets of a DTC when you expect. The O2's can get pretty lazy and still not trip a code. The system is usually pretty good with the EVAP, to the point it can be a nuisance.

The EVAP system is definitely one place I want to check out as thoroughly as I can. The mode 6 test values for 3 items keep reading zero which (obviously) is below the minimum test values.
