Default Throttle Body Cleaning

I probably posted something like this a year ago, but giving myself a refresher as I get into cleaning again this year. I have not found a single video or tech article on removing the TB for cleaning. Everything I have found for the 4.7 gen 2 leaves it on...

I believe I did that last year, but I feel there is crap that's going to fall or drip through it and into places we don't want the fluids and grime. I guess the throttle cables just bend a little and don't actually come off.

Input is appreciated.

Excellent information and write up! Looks like I will be doing double duty as I didn't take off the IAC. I can see the importance here!

Did the double duty thing today.... Hard to believe there was so much crud through the IAC and the engine was idling pretty good.

Much more smooth now.
