Fiberglass Question
I am getting ready to build my sub box and I am going to fiberglass the bottom on each side of the trans tunnel. Is a pint of resin enough or should I get more? This is what I'm looking at.
That's a kind of hard question to answer. What is the square footage you are working with here? What kind of fiberglass materiat are you working with? What thickness/weight material?
I'm assuming you mean you're building a custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure that will mold to the shape of the floor of your truck?

What kind of material are you using? If you're just doing the floor section and only going one layer thick then yes one pint would be enough. If you go thicker you may or may not use a second one.
I see now that the link you put up is for a kit that comes with fiberglass cloth. That stuff shouldn't soak up as much resin as the matt so you should be good to go. But it doesn't say how much cloth it comes with.
My only real experience with fiberglass has been in redneck boat building and getting it to stick to stuff not to release from a mold.

I have absolutely no experience with making DIY sub boxes, but if you want to mold it to the floor I would think that laying down a layer of plastic or something and then building your layers on top of that would be the way to go. Again, I'm just thinking out loud here so make sure to do your research. I don't even know if poly resin is safe to use on plastic or if it might melt through some types of plastic.
