Default fan clutch, water pump?

I can not get the bolt to break loose on the fan clutch, the connection to the water pump is wobbly. the belt driven part of the pump spins the direction that the bolt goes when I try breaking bolt loose. Can I just leave fan clutch attached to water pump and remove it all at once? Looks like I can, I have room to pull it out and replacement parts for them?

Best Regards Magimax

You don't say what engine but if you have the room sure.

The bolt should break loose. Put the wrench on it and give it a good whack with a mallet.

Default Give wack is all.

I am 61 years old and just had a Da! moment and ask you the dumb ? . Does that Da mn bolt between clutch and water pump spin clock wise to get it off? in this case left is tight -right is what I did not do. yes I used my mallot and a cheap tiywan wrench. short handle no leverage.

As you look at the nut while standing in front of the truck you need to turn the wrench towards the passenger side. I don't know about a 4.7 but if you have a 3.9, 5.2 or 5.9 the fan should have two of its blades with a wider space between them than the other blades. Turn the fan so that wider space is facing up to give you more room to work, use a long handled large adjustable wrench on the nut and give it a few good whacks with a good sized hammer. It should pop the nut loose. You can also rent a tool from the parts store to help remove the nut.
