I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT 3.9L V6, does anyone know where the fuel filter is? There is a small canister with 2 hose like outlets on each end, past the transmission fluid pan, I saw this when I was changing trans fluid. Could that be it?

 

There 's no fuel filter only screen on fuel pump

there is accually a fuel filter its the small canister on out side of fuel pump/sending unit housing but i think it sayd its a pressure regulator (was bored)i only no this as i cut up my old pump assembely it in half to see how it worked only to find it was a filter. as for that filter never seen one like it on a dodge but i have know clue why i walked threw a door some times lol some one may have seen this before
