A lot of places can claim 18hp but what model was that achieved on? I highly doubt the dakota. I just like hemifeaver cause he does custom tunes for our trucks so he knows the ins and outs of them. Its crazy to wrap my head around how you can barely get 20hp out of a gas engine yet my programmer for my cummins lowest setting is 20hp and highest is 120hp lol Either way its your money so which ever route you go is up to you. None of us will lose sleep over it.

Is that from Sean?

It sounds about right actually. 95% of his work is ram and dakota so it's the same powertrain. That said it may be that the 18HP is on the hemi, hard to say. All I know is that I spin both tires from a dry dead stop on asphalt. But as I tell others, my truck shouldn't be on the street :P

With the 3.9L ? that's kinda impressive or you've got some cruddy tires lol..

If i go WOT off the line i can spin through to 2nd gear.. but eh..

@DodgeRamGuy

i agree with you sir.. he claimed it was just a 5.2L out of a full size. IDK. Hard to think that one tuner only claims 5 HP and the other claims 18.. 300-400 bucks is actually alot of money for 5 little HP. even 18 is almost not worth it. but im sure it couldnt help having it

brand new destination A/T 265/65/16's. With lots of crap in my bed and back seat and front seat. Easily over 100 pounds of excess cargo. But yea, if I deck it, I'll break both rear tires loose on dry asphalt. Keep in mind I have a spool, so when i say both, it's both. lol

See if I can remember everything:

V8 throttle body
1.7:1 HS roller rockers
Lincoln Mk 8 electric fan
electric water pump drive
94/96 octane hemifever SCT tune
Methanol auxiliary injection
under-bed RV transmission cooler
MSD ignition system
28/10.5-16 slicks (265/65/16 AT's)
4.10 gears with spool (and yes the tire scrub is alot)
2400ish stall torque convertor
Line locks (waiting to be installed during school break)

I think that's all of it. I struggle to get through emissions because I have a bunch of evap leaks, but I manipulate the PCM just enough to pass every year. Really it almost doesn’t belong on the road because I have taken it so far, but it’s a fun truck to drive. I don’t have much for income right now, especially after my student loans payment, but an econo car is in my future, but the dak will still be an around-town truck plus racing.
